Design Principle

Built around how litigation funders actually evaluate cases.

The CaseFin Rating

Two axes. Eight factors. Weighted for how funders actually underwrite.

Every case receives a Case Strength grade (A–F) and a Funding Readiness score (1–5). Published weights, evidence-linked analysis, every score reviewable. AI-assisted, not black-box.

Case Strength A–F
  1. Legal Merits35%

Whether the legal theory holds up. Established precedent, statutory basis, coherence of the claim, survival of early challenges.

  2. Collectability & Enforcement30%

Whether recovery is realistic. Defendant solvency, entity type, and the jurisdictional path to enforce a judgment.

  3. Damages Potential25%

Whether the claimed range is credible. Proportionality to the defendant profile, supported by standard valuation methodologies.

  4. Procedural Posture & Forum10%

Where the case stands and what that means in this venue. Stage advantage, forum context, procedural leverage.

Funding Readiness 1–5
  1. Counsel & Team30%

Whether the firm can execute. Relevant experience, practice-area fit, professionalism of the submission itself.

  2. Evidence Quality25%

Whether the document package supports the allegations. Relevance, completeness, corroboration of the core claims.

  3. Funding Fit25%

Reasonableness of the funding ask vs. claim value, defendant capacity, and duration — the calibration between what’s requested and what the matter can support.

  4. Duration / Cost Risk20%

How long the case will take and what it will cost. Timeline, capital lockup, appeal exposure. Higher score here means lower risk.

The Other Half

One case is the start. A portfolio is the story funders fund.

Roll rated cases, or imported spreadsheets, into a portfolio with concentration, vintage, and duration analytics. Export a facility-ready brief in the same standardized format.
